With JoongAng Ilbo and JTBC at its core, JMnet has been at the forefront in widely disseminating a culture of sharing and giving in Korean society. Every spring, at the annual JoongAng Music Concours, musicians compete and demonstrate their talent in one of the seven distinctions that include violin, piano and voice. Established in 1975, the concours has produced world-class musicians such as Sumi Jo and Daejin Kim.
FINE ARTS PRIZE
Established in 1978, the JoongAng Fine Arts Prize is recognized as Korea’s top fine art competition. It is also the cradle of outstanding artists leading the art world, fostering active artwork production and up and coming artists.
JMnet interacts with public through exhibitions from world-class art institutions and artists. JoongAng Fineart Awards has been taking the lead to find next generations of Korean fine art since 1978 and their exhibition is open to public every year. Art projects collaborated with art various art institutions are to discuss and provide insights with visual arts on pressing regional and global issues.
